What is live,
where.
Five nations publish local evidence through different systems. Escape Map exposes those differences instead of forcing unlike statistics into one misleading league table.

Universal live layers
Place search, reverse geocoding, road routing, mapped shops and services, rail, drinking-water points, named freshwater features, three-year sunshine, rainfall, frost, temperature and elevation work from coordinates across all five nations.
Why crime differs
England and Wales publish a common point-level API. Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland publish through separate area systems with different offence categories and geographies. Raw totals are therefore not presented as directly comparable.
Hazards need official maps
The profile links to the relevant national flood map, severe-weather warning service and seismic information. Escape Map does not convert those separate sources into a false town-level disaster score.
What “nearest” means
Amenity and water distances are approximate straight-line distances to OpenStreetMap points or feature centres. They do not establish access, potability, shoreline distance or flood risk. Regional-city results route the four closest candidates and select the quickest no-traffic journey.
Unavailable is a valid result. Escape Map will show a gap before it shows a statistic from the wrong country, geography or reference period.
